Did you know that the Brahmas hockey team has been playing major league hockey right here in the DFW metroplex for 10-years now? Professional major and minor league ice hockey fans from Dallas, Fort Worth and the mid-cities enjoy coming out to see the Brahmas take the ice against the best the Central Hockey League has to offer.
Hot on Ice
The Brahmas were busy during this past off-season selecting a professional ice hockey team in order to compete for the Central Hockey League title and make hockey fans in Dallas, Fort Worth and the rest of DFW metroplex proud! The Brahmas began this task by hiring Dan Wildfong as its new head coach. Wildfong spent the past eight years as a professional ice hockey player in the Central Hockey League and is expected to bring major toughness to the ice hockey club.
He Shoots, He Scores!
Robin Big Snake is a “professional ice hockey player” in every sense of the phrase. Big Snake netted 17 goals and 25 assist for the IceHogs of the United Hockey League last season. At only 6’ tall, the left winger is also known to bring a physical presence to the ice hockey team evidenced by his 330 penalty minutes a year ago. Big Snake’s scoring ability and brutal style of play are expected to make him a fan favorite for professional ice hockey fans here in Dallas, Forth Worth, the DFW metroplex and North Richland Hills.
New Goalie, All-Star Winger Added
The Brahmas hockey team also signed goaltender David Cacciola this summer. Cacciola gave up just 2.62 goals per game a year ago while playing for Bossier-Shreveport of the Central Hockey League. Major and minor league hockey fans in Dallas, Fort Worth and the DFW metroplex should be familiar with name of Cacciola, a three-year Central Hockey League participant and new winger Anders Strome. Strome competed in last years’ Central Hockey League All-Star Game. The 6’ winger is known for his high-scoring ability. Last year Strome lead the Lubbock Cotton Kings to the Central Hockey League playoffs and was named the team’s offensive player of the year.
