There are so many reasons we have the World’s Best Parents. How many parents do you know that have been married more than 50 years to each other? Thanks to the world’s best parents, we have traveled the world, and learned that there’s no place like home; wherever that is. Because of the World’s Best Parents, we experience unconditional love and appreciate the value of the world’s best family.

The World’s best parents and the World’s Best Family:

• You taught us responsibility, commitment, humor, discipline, respect.

• You taught us about Jesus.

• You taught us fiscal responsibility, finish what you start, do it right or not at all

• You instilled confidence, a sense of belonging, a desire to always improve and an incredibly competitive spirit.

One of our greatest strengths is our diversity. We all chose different paths in life that matched our passions. We had to struggle, and often times fail, and these bumps in the road strengthened us as we got back up and rode again. We learned life is a constant journey not a destination. Along the way, you always looked over us either through childhood lessons learned, or a timely phone call or card.

• We learned the arts right at home

• We enjoyed the company of a wide range of animals

• We traveled together in the earliest ever 'mini-van' brought right from Germany

• We always had a special birthday breakfast

• We had a bootleg beer operation in the back yard, a puppy training area, the perfect picnic area, and years of wonderful memories

Sacrifice & commitment. You spent your lives sacrificing time, money, tools, perks and more all for the good of us. You demonstrated commitment to each other and our family providing strong roots and strong wings.

More reasons we have the Worlds Best Parents

I can’t think of a single time we were all together and didn’t laugh. Even funerals are not sacred, especially with Mom’s sense of humor. We have the World’s best parents because as we age, these apples don’t fall far from the tree (Yikes). This helps us to feel a part of the world’s best family. Thanks for providing the seeds, roots and water – even the continued financial fertilizer when we need it.

You give us a soft place to fall, a shoulder to cry on, someone to share our joy and sorrow, our laughter and tears. I’ve learned so many things and have so many memories: Jim the barber, the brown bag of chores, Ginny’s big smile. You take on one, you take on all. The Kelly’s have taught me to say “I love you”. And to each and every one of you, I am proud to part of the Kelly Klan, you are each different and alike. I love you.

We have the world's best parents because of the tremendous exposure to the world, a strong sense of perspective and a strong appreciation for family and partnership. We learned early on there are many different cultures in the world, none more 'right' that any other. Mom and Dad have also been the ultimate 'Spin Doctors' teaching us to find the positive in virtually any situation. That same positive outlook has subsequently impacted our individual approaches to our own families.

The World's Best Family had to start with a vision...when Mom and Dad met. Whether they had any clue or not, they were embarking on a decades long adventure that would result in a great extended family spread out across the country. Mom and Dad never hesitated to show their love for each other and each of us. That love has created the ties that bind the world’s best family no matter what happens. We have the world's best family because we all understand that none of us is as smart as all of us. Together, we can accomplish anything.

Ultimately we have the world's best family because Mom and Dad have worked hard to insure that every member of the family was included and an important part of Team Kelly. That term 'the Kellys' means more than immediate family...it means a group that comes together to help, celebrate, love and listen. It means 'hallowed ground'. For all you do, Thank you Mom and Dad for being the world’s best parents and creating the world’s best family!
